Redevelopment of Meena Bazaar

Redevelopment of Meena Bazaar

Gandhinagar

The Urban Lab is working with Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation to reimagine Meena Bazaar as a vibrant, people-friendly market precinct. The project focuses on reorganizing the bustling vendor market, improving pedestrian infrastructure, and upgrading public amenities to enhance everyday experiences for vendors and visitors alike. By bringing resilient street design and efficient market layouts together, the project aims to support equitable urban livelihoods while encouraging sustainable mobility in Gandhinagar.

Our scope includes site analysis, master planning, detailed architectural and interior design, NMT-friendly street design, utility planning, and landscape design. We are adopting a participatory and context-sensitive approach, ensuring that vendor shops are modular, functional, and easy to implement during construction.
