Gyaan Marg - Beautification and Development of Knowledge Corridor
Gandhinagar
The Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation (GMC) is undertaking the rehabilitation and redevelopment of the 3.75 kilometer road stretch from Bhaijipura Junction to Signature Bridge (PDEU-GIFT City Road), along with connecting access roads across Gandhinagar. This initiative aims to transform the stretch into a model urban street that exemplifies safety, accessibility, and sustainability.
The Urban Lab is contributing a people-centric design approach focused on universal access, safe intersections, and an inclusive public realm. The scope includes detailed road layouts, pavement and junction design, dedicated footpaths with street furniture, integrated landscaping, organized parking and traffic circulation, as well as modern street lighting and utility planning.
By reimagining this key corridor, the project seeks to elevate the overall urban experience in Gandhinagar—making its streets safer, greener, and more inclusive for all users, including pedestrians, cyclists, public transit commuters, and motorists.
