The Urban Lab worked with Urban Mass Transit Company (UMTC) for developing parking bylaws and policy. Presently parking management is an overlapping function between the local authority and the police department. The byelaws explored provisions for making parking a local government function with an authority to tow away and levy fines. The Urban Lab prepared policy directives including pricing, parking permits, shared parking, and enforcement procedures. The Urban Lab was also involved in communicating the policy to the stakeholders.
