Kuwait University is a public university supported by the State of Kuwait. It is a diversified institution with multiple campuses consisting of more than 17,000 students and 1,200 faculty members. Two linked campuses, one for men and the other for women, are separated by a wide oasis - a ‘Palm Forest’ extending over a kilometre in length. The university is developing a new campus in an area of 5 sq.km.

The Urban Lab was appointed to assess the traffic flow in the new university campus and suggest suitable measures for traffic and transportation management. The scope of work included preparation of design for an integrated campus using smart technology.
