Mysuru

The Urban Lab undertook research to explore the learnings from the three-year operation of the PBS Mysuru system. The study focused on the analysis of user usage data to derive policy and planning recommendations for the design of PBS systems in the Indian context. The research was funded, designed, and executed by The Urban Lab.

The key learnings from the study highlight the significance of station density, preferred cycling route, predominant trip time, and the impact of weather conditions on ridership and usage. The study was presented to the Commissioner Directorate of Land and Urban Transport to suggest recommendations for improving the existing PBS systems in Karnataka.
