Evaluation of Public Cycle Sharing Systems

The study is facilitated by GIZ under their Integrated and Sustainable Urban Transport Systems for the Smart Cities program (SMART-SUT). As more cities are keen on adopting cycle sharing systems, the study intends to understand why and how Indian cities should plan and implement Public Cycle Sharing (PBS) systems.
The scope includes an assessment of business models, planning and design parameters, regulatory framework, and policy framework of global best practice PBS systems and Indian PBS systems. The aim of the study is to help decision-makers take informed policy decisions on the future of cycle sharing in India.
