Position Summary

The Architecture & Urban Design Interns will support design, research, and documentation across ongoing projects at The Urban Lab. The role involves assisting the team with drawings, concept development, site research, visualizations, and preparation of presentations for urban design, mobility, public space, street design, and master planning projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing drawings, diagrams, and design concepts for urban and architectural projects
  • Support research, site analysis, mapping, and documentation tasks
  • Create visualizations, graphics, and presentation materials in coordination with the design team
  • Contribute to model-making, layout preparation, and design detailing
  • Participate in field visits, surveys, and photography documentation where required
  • Maintain organized project files and follow team workflows and quality standards

Education

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s/Master’s in Architecture, Urban Design

Skill

  • Proficiency in design and drafting tools (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite; GIS or Rhino is a plus)
  • Strong visual communication and graphic presentation skills
  • Ability to translate research insights into clear diagrams and design outputs
  • Understanding of urban design principles, public spaces, mobility, and city systems
  • Good teamwork, curiosity, and willingness to learn
